The City owns and maintains 11 parks, the Cotati train station, and the Civic Center buildings located at 201 West Sierra Avenue. The parks are available to host parties and there are classrooms and the Cotati Room available to reserve for classes, meetings, and recreation programs. In addition to maintaining its parks, the City collects assessments for and maintains ten zones within its Landscape and Lighting Assessment District.
The City of Cotati Council adopted a resolution approving an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Policy, which was developed in compliance with provisions of the Phase I Municipal Storm Water permit to limit the use of pesticides in landscape maintenance. The IPM Policy also seeks to address public concern about potential health and environmental risks of pesticides by discontinuing the use of synthetic chemicals on City-owned property.
